More About Maria’s Birth
Baby Leo.
Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a mother who had planned for a vaginal birth but ended up having a cesarean birth instead. Her journey was one of courage and strength, and it was a privilege to be there to support her every step of the way.
The mother was understandably upset. She had planned for a vaginal birth, and the thought of having surgery was overwhelming. But I assured her that she was not alone, and that we would be with her every step of the way.
As I reflect on this birth, I'm reminded of the power of resilience and the importance of being present for mothers in whatever way they need. Birth is unpredictable, and sometimes things don't go as planned. But with the right support, every mother can have a positive birth experience, even if it's not what she originally envisioned.
As a birth doula, it's my job to be there for mothers, no matter the outcome. And I'm grateful for the opportunity to witness the birth miracle and support mothers through one of the most important moments of their lives.
