More About Teresa’s Birth.
Baby Samuelito.
Her name is Teresa, and she is expecting her third child. She had chosen me as her doula because she wanted to have a natural birth, but she was also open to the possibility of a cesarean if it became necessary. I admired her flexibility and trust in her body, and I knew we would make a great team. We started working together early in her pregnancy, and I helped her physically, emotionally, and mentally prepare for the birth.
After just a few more pushes, Teresa's baby emerged into the world, a beautiful, healthy boy with a head full of dark hair and a set of lungs that could rival a symphony. Teresa was crying tears of joy and relief, and I was crying right along with her. It was a moment of pure love.
I stayed with her, holding her hand and whispering words of comfort and congratulations. I also helped her breastfeed her baby for the first time, which was a beautiful and emotional experience.
When it was time for me to leave, Teresa hugged me tightly and thanked me for being there for her. She told me that she couldn't have done it without me and that she felt empowered and proud of herself. I felt honored and grateful to have been a part of her journey.
